ALLENTOWN, Pa. (December 18, 2011) – Senior
Dara Mc Keon (Dunboyne, Ireland/St. Peter's College) put forth another career night scoring 25 points in 83-78 loss to Muhlenberg (8-2) earlier this evening. The Rangers are now 0-5 on the road and fall to 2-8 on the season.
Mc Keon nailed a career-high, five 3-pointers and finished 10-of-15 from the floor in the Rangers sixth-straight loss. Junior
Terrell Brown (Camden, N.J./Woodrow Wilson) added 22 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists.
Spencer Liddic, of the Mules, led all scorers with 30 points without hitting a 3-point shot. The senior was 11-of-17 from the floor and scored 18 points in the first half of play. Malique Killing added 20 points while Austin Curry and Gabriel Mercer each chipped in 11 to pace the Mules.
The hot-shooting Rangers shot a blistering 57 percent from 3-point range and sunk eight long balls in the first half of play. Sophomore
John Ford (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) hit all three of his 3-point attempts in the first half of play helping the Rangers go into the locker room with a 39-37 lead at halftime. Ford finished the game with 12 points, connecting on four of his seven shots from 3-point land.
The Rangers were able to sustain a lead for the first 12:27 of the second half and held as high as a seven-point advantage over the Mules. At the 10:42 mark the Rangers led 60-53 and had it quickly erased thanks to an 14-0 run by Muhlenberg over the next 4:28. The Rangers did not score a basket for nearly five minutes of action, enabling the Mules to take a 67-60 lead with 5:35 remaining in the game.
The Ranger offense would never recover, as the Mules did not let the contest get within a basket for the final five minutes of play.

rd. The Rangers will open up the four-team event with a game against Hobart College at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2
