MADISON, N.J. (March 26, 2011) - The Rangers began the march to their fourth consecutive Landmark Conference Championship, with a 9-0 rout of Goucher this afternoon. Since entering the Landmark in 2007, the Rangers sit with an all-time record of 4-0 against the Gophers.

Drew (4-3, Landmark 1-0) opened doubles with three 8-1 victories to help them cruise in the conference opener. In the one spot, Raul Smego (Ponce, Puerto Rico/Academia Cristo Rey) and Djedjy Hill (Haiti/ Rancocas Valley Regional) collected their first win as a duo this season. Matt Brisotti (Mattituck, N.Y./Mattituck) and Alex Belfiore (Virginia Water, England/ TASIS) continued to dominate in the number two slot, picking up their fifth. To round out doubles, the new pair of #Elliott Smego# (Ponce, Puerto Rico/Academia Cristo Rey) and Adam Gerber (Montclair, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) were able to claim their second straight this week.

Singles was no different, taking each match in straight sets. Belfiore, in number two singles, played the tightest match of the day against David Spivey but still prevailed with a 7-5, 6-3 decision. R. Smego, Brisotti, Hill, Gerber and Matt Imbo (Islip, N.Y./Islip) would complete the sweep for the Rangers in singles. Imbo, who has been silenced since the start of the season, picked up his second win with a 6-1,6-1 victory in the number five spot.

The men travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Monday for a non conference meeting with Vassar College at 4:00 p.m.
