MADISON, N.J. (January 28, 2012) – Senior
Danielle Barber (Cape May Court House, N.J./Middle Twp.) scored 17 of her game-high 24 points in the first half as Drew (7-13, 3-7 Landmark) routed Susquehanna (4-16, 1-8 Landmark), 65-35 in Baldwin Gym this afternoon.
Barber was on her way to a career night in the opening minutes. She hit five of her career-high six 3-pointers in the first half of play. Her first basket of the night moved her into sole possession of fifth place on Drew's scoring list. She now is 13 points shy of Courtney Cunningham C'07 who finished her career with 1,288 points.

Victoria Ault (Middletown, N.J./Mater Dei) was also another solid contributor for Head Coach
Brittany Gaetano's squad. The forward scored 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the victory. Freshman
Shannon LaFrano (Edison, N.J./John P. Stevens) had seven second half points for a new career-high.
The Ranger defense was on display in the first half, allowing only three points over the final 8:47 of the frame. The Drew offense took full advantage, closing out the first half with a 16-4 run. The Rangers owned a commanding 33-14 lead at the break.
Already in a huge hole, the Susquehanna offense didn't fare much better in the second half. The Crusaders cut the lead down to 16 with 13:48 remaining on back-to-back baskets by Shannon Grunwald but would not get any closer for the remainder of the contest. Seven-straight points from the Rangers followed, pushing the lead to the 23 after layup by Barber with 10:52 left in the game.
The Crusaders did not have a player in double figures and were led by Mariah Monahan who tallied eight points on 3-of-7 shooting. The Rangers forced 25 turnovers and compared to 17 by the Crusaders.
The Rangers will be on the road for the final time this season on Friday and Saturday when they travel to Catholic and Goucher. The women will be the first game of two Landmark doubleheaders beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
