Rangers Shut Out Crusaders, Improve to 2-0 in Landmark

SELINSGROVE, Pa. (March 25, 2013) – The Drew men's tennis team improved to 2-0 in the Landmark Conference today with a 9-0 win over Susquehanna (4-7, 1-1 Landmark) this afternoon. The Rangers even their record to 4-4 on the season.

After taking all three doubles matches, the Rangers dominated singles play with six, straight-set victories. Senior Raul Smego (Ponce, Puerto Rico/Academia Cristo Rey), Adam Clark (Fremont, Calif./John F. Kennedy) and Vin Mahon (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) did not lose a game, registering 6-0, 6-0 wins. Playing in the second position, Smego has now won 20-straight games dating back to the first set of yesterday's match.

In second doubles, Djedjy Hill (Haiti/Rancocas Valley) teamed up with Smego to defeat Kevin Schneider and Ian Endresen, 8-0. The duo is now 3-0 on the season.

The Rangers will travel to Ewing, N.J. on Wednesday to take on The College of New Jersey at 3:00 p.m.
