MADISON, N.J. (April 20, 2013) – The Drew men's tennis team finished off their regular season schedule with a 7-2 victory over Moravian (7-10, 4-3 Ladmark) this afternoon at home. The Rangers improve to 9-6 on the year and 6-1 in Landmark Conference play.
The Rangers will now look ahead to the Landmark Conference postseason where they can be no lower than the second seed. Scranton, who defeated Drew on Thursday can clinch home-court advantage with a win over either Merchant Marine or Goucher.
The Rangers won two of the three doubles matches and picked up five victories in singles play.
Raul Smego (Ponce, Puerto Rico/Academia Cristo Rey) and
Djedjy Hill (Haiti/Rancocas Valley) recorded an 8-0 shutout in first singles.
Smego rebounded from his first conference loss of the season in singles by defeating Matt Tuorto in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1 at the first position. Freshman
Adam Clark (Fremont, Calif./John F. Kennedy) completed his first regular season with a win 6-2, 6-1 win over C.J. Widdifield in six singles. He was perfect in conference this season, winning all six matches.

Hunter Lathrop (South Londonderry, Vt./Stratton Mountain School), Hill and
Tommy Butschi (Tyler, Texas/New Braunfels) each recorded wins in singles play.
The Rangers will wait to see who they will host in the first round of the Landmark Conference playoffs.
