Box Score
SCRANTON, Pa. (April 27, 2013) – The Drew men's tennis team won their 13th-straight conference championship this afternoon and their sixth in the Landmark with a 5-4 win over the University of Scranton. The Rangers successfully avenged a 5-4 loss to the Royals from the regular season.

The championship was decided on the final match, when freshman Hunter Lathrop (South Londonderry, Vt./Stratton Mountain School) clinched a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory at second singles. The Rangers will advance to their third NCAA Tournament by earning the conference's automatic bid.

The Rangers fended off a furious Royal comeback in singles play. The Rangers took all three doubles matches including a 9-8 victory at the number one position. Freshman Adam Clark (Fremont, Calif./John F. Kennedy) completed his season unblemished in against Landmark Conference opponents, recording a 6-1, 6-3 victory over James Dalkiewicz at six singles. He improved his singles record to 11-6 and finished 7-0 against Landmark foes.

Dating back to their time in the Middle Atlantic Conference, the Rangers have won 13-consecutive conference titles.

Details about the upcoming NCAA match will be announced early next week.
