Box Score MADISON, N.J. (August 30, 2013) - The Drew University field hockey team avenged its ECAC Tournament loss from a season ago with a 3-0 victory over Lebanon Valley (0-1) in the first round of The 30
th Annual Field Hockey Fall Festival today at Ranger Stadium.

Sam Barcia (Berlin, N.J./Eastern) was instrumental in the Drew victory as she scored the first goals of the game. Senior
Danielle Waleko (Wainscott, N.Y./East Hampton) capped the Rangers scoring with her fifth career goal with 4:54 remaining in the contest.

Barcia put the Rangers on top in the 22
nd minute when she followed up her own rebound. Dutchmen defender Melissa Brocious made a diving defensive save but it came back to the stick of Barcia for the eventual game-winner.

She added her second goal of the afternoon with 9:01 to play in the game. Senior
Brooke Gagliano (Freehold, N.J./Freehold Twp.) crossed a pass into the middle of the circle where Garcia was able to deflect it into the back of the net. Gagliano logged her second assist of the game after dribbling up the right side, finding Waleko for the third goal of the game.
Drew held a 32-8 advantage in shots and was awarded 20 penalty corners compared to just four by the Dutchmen.

The Rangers snap a three-game losing streak to the Dutchmen, registering their first win against Lebanon Valley since 2003. Head Coach
Felicia Cappabianca improves to 5-2 in season openers. Lebanon Valley owns 6-12-1 record all-time against Drew in a series that began in 1985.

th Fall Fest Championship tomorrow when they take on Swarthmore at 12:00 p.m. in Ranger Stadium.
