HUNTINGDON, Pa. (April 12, 2014) – The Drew University men's tennis team fell at first-place Juniata College, 8-1, in a Landmark Conference dual match on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles remained perfect this season with a 15-0 overall record and 6-0 mark in the conference. The Rangers' (4-5, 3-3) three-match win streak came to an end at Juniata on Saturday.
Juniata got off to a quick start by sweeping doubles play to take a 3-0 lead in the dual match. Senior

Tommy Butschi dropped at hard-fought match at first doubles, dropping an 8-6 decision at the top spot.
In singles action, freshman
Nick Lantieri continued his hot streak at sixth singles, defeating Michael Lifshitz in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3 to win his third match in a row.
Junior
Dereck McMullen fell 6-1 in set one of his fifth singles match, and a comeback attempt fell short in a 6-3 loss in the second set to push Logan Moore to the straight-set victory.
Drew looks to get back on the winning track with a Landmark Conference playoff spot on the line. The Rangers conclude the regular season on Thursday, April 17 when The Catholic University of America comes to Madison for a 4:30 p.m. dual match.
The Rangers are currently tied with Moravian College for the fourth and final playoff position, but the Greyhounds hold the tiebreaker after winning the head-to-head dual match. The University of Scranton are in third place, but have played one less match. The Royals finish their season against The United States Merchant Marine Academy and Susquehanna University, seventh and eighth in the Landmark Conference, respectively. Scranton also holds a tiebreaker against Drew.
