ResultsELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. (Nov. 21, 2015) – The Drew University women's swimming and diving team defeated FDU-Florham, 93-68, as part of the tri-meet at Elizabethtown College on Saturday afternoon. The host school topped the Rangers, 124-69, in Landmark Conference action.

Junior
Jordan Jessup and sophomore
Jenny Stein each won two events at the tri-meet against opponents from Elizabethtown and FDU-Florham. Freshman
Megan Cashin picked up her first collegiate victory by winning the 200-yard individual medley in 2:28.45.

Jessup defeated a field of six in the 200-yard freestyle and turned in her fastest time of the 2015-16 season in 2:03.53. She has now entered a 200 free race five times this season and won all five times. Jessup also topped the podium in the 100-yard freestyle in another season-best time in 56.99 seconds.

Stein outsprinted eight Blue Jays and Devils in the 50-yard freestyle, winning the event in 26.52 in an exciting finish, touching the wall just seven-hundredths of a second ahead of the second place finisher from Elizabethtown. Stein used that adrenaline to post a lifetime best in the 100-yard backstroke, the event she won in 1:03.73, the fourth fastest time in the event in Drew history.

The Rangers picked up valuable points against FDU-Florham in day's first event, the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Stein (back), junior

Kristin Zeigler (fly) and Jessup (free) finished in second place out of five teams in a time of 2:00.05.

Cashin followed up her first career victory with a second place showing in the 500-yard freestyle in a season-best 5:55.97. Pearce also picked up significant points for the Rangers in the 100-yard breaststroke, and just missed a victory by a split-second. She placed second in the eight-woman race in a time of 1:13.82, six-tenths behind the winner.

The men's team dropped a pair of duals on Saturday, 108-73 to FDU-Florham and 132-55 to the host Elizabethtown. The Rangers were led by the first place finish of freshman
Mack Fox, who bested five swimmers in the 500-yard freestyle to win in 5:22.48. He also turned in a season-best time in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in 1:55.87 and third place.

Sophomore
Mitchell Fry posted a lifetime best in the 100-yard backstroke. Also posting a season-best time was senior
Mike Smoliga, who swam the 100-yard freestyle in 54.33 seconds and finished third of seven.

Sophomore
Louis Tighe posted a pair of season bests in the 50-yard and 100-yard backstroke, swimming the former as the leadoff for the 200-yard medley relay team and finishing third in the latter.

The Rangers are scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4-5 when they host the Ranger Invitational at F.M. Kirby Pool.
