MADISON, N.J. (Nov. 7, 2015) – The Drew University swimming and diving teams combined for three lifetime-best swims and five first-place finishes in the Landmark Conference dual meet with Marywood University on Saturday in the F.M. Kirby Pool.

Sophomore
Alli Keith swam her fastest 500-yard freestyle for the Rangers, stopping the clock at 6:58.28. Freshman
Adam Oppegaard also picked up a lifetime-best in the 100-yard butterfly with a 1:03.30, good for third place during Saturday's dual meet, which the men dropped 172-36 to the Pacers.

The third lifetime-best swim was posted during a first place finish for Drew, something that is becoming very familiar for junior
Jordan Jessup, the reigning Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week. Jessup won the 100-yard backstroke for the third straight meet in 1:05.10, the quickest time in her career. Earlier in the meet, Jessup posted the fastest 200-yard freestyle time for the Rangers this season and won the event in 2:04.98. Jessup made it a perfect 4-for-4 winning the 200 free this season. She also swam the fastest freestyle leg in the 400-yard medley relay, in which the Rangers placed second. Jessup accounted for 22 points in the 141-70 dual meet loss to the Pacers.

Junior
Lindsay Pearce had a strong performance in the 100-yard breaststroke, taking first place and nine dual meet points with a time of 1:14.53. The victory rounded out a solid day for Pearce, who placed second earlier in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:00.56.

Sophomore
Jenny Stein won the one-meter diving event for the second consecutive day, posting a six-dive score of 213.60. She bested her Marywood opponent by 74 points. Stein warmed up for the dive with a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle sprint, hitting the wall in 26.57 seconds.

Freshman
Mack Fox produced a top time for the Rangers this season in the 1,000-yard freestyle, swimming a 10:42.41 on Saturday. The time placed him second in the race for four dual meet points. Senior captain
Mike Smoliga also posted new 2015-16 top times in the 50-yard freestyle, where he finished third in 24.11 seconds, and the 100-yard freestyle (fourth place in 54.52 seconds).

Sophomores
Louis Tighe and
Mitchell Fry each posted season-bests in the 100-yard backstroke. Tighe placed third with a time of 1:04.90, while Fry was fifth in 1:20.18.

The Rangers have a two-week layoff until their next date, a tri-meet at Elizabethtown College with FDU-Florham on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 1:00 p.m.
