EWING, N.J. (Sept. 23, 2015) – The No. 23 Drew University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the 2015 season on Wednesday evening with a 3-1 setback on the road at The College of New Jersey.
Fresh off its first national ranking since 2011, the Rangers (6-1-1) could not overcome two Lions first-half goals. Sophomore forward
Benjamin Audi netted his seventh goal of the season in the 48
th minute to cut the TCNJ lead to 2-1, but the Lions (6-1-2) would add an insurance goal in the 75
th minute to ensure the Rangers could not complete the comeback.
The Lions scored their two goals in the first half 2:12 apart to take the 2-0 lead with goals in the 18
th and 20
th minutes. TCNJ would go on to outshoot Drew, 8-3, in the first half, and 15-7 by game's end. Drew put three of its shots on goals, including Audi's goal early in the second half.

Dylan Hammer each put a shot on net during the second half comeback attempt, prompting saves by the Lions goalkeeper. Drew's netminder, junior
John Marques, made five saves in his first loss between the pipes in the 2015.
The Rangers continue non-conference play on Saturday, Sept. 26 with a match against Manhattanville College at 1:30 p.m. at Ranger Stadium.
