The Cardinals (10-5, 5-1) led this one coast to coast to hand the Rangers (6-9, 3-3) their third straight Landmark Conference loss. A 9-0 run to start the contest occurred within 2:18, but Lane got the Rangers on the board with the first of her five triples. Courtney Stephens hit a free throw to make it a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to 25-19 approaching halftime. Lane traded baskets with the Cardinals over the next three minutes before Catholic ended the period on a 6-0 run to take a 37-24 lead into intermission.
Â
Following another good start to a period by Catholic, the Rangers put together an 8-2 run in the third, capped by a Lane three-pointer. CUA kept its foot on the gas, however, maintaining a double-digit lead as Miller hit two free throws for Drew to end the period down 47-37.

Miller led the comeback attempt in the fourth with her third 3-pointer of the day with 9:05 to play in the game, cutting the Rangers' deficit to eight, the smallest it's been since midway through the second period. Another 7-0 run from the Cardinals extended the lead back to a comfortable zone, and Catholic coasted to the final score of 66-47.
