LANCASTER, Pa. (March 30, 2016) – The Drew University baseball team had its four-game winning streak snapped at Franklin & Marshall College, where the Diplomats (9-10) erased an early Rangers (10-11) lead to win 11-5 on Wednesday afternoon.

Top Performers: Freshman third baseman
Eric DiPietro slammed his first collegiate home run, a two-run shot over the left field fence in the sixth inning. Freshman left fielder
Jayson Mitch continued his hot streak with a fourth straight multi-hit game (2-for-4, 1 run, 1 RBI) while taking over the team-lead in batting average at .387. Junior center fielder
Richie Poland batted 2-for-4.

The Turning Point: Drew scored the first run of the game, but later had to cut into a 7-1 Diplomat lead with three runs in the sixth, capped off by DiPietro's two-run bomb. However, F&M answered with a dinger of its own in the eighth inning to halt the Drew charge. The solo shot sparked a four-run frame for the Diplomats, who coasted down the stretch for the home victory.

Troy Naiden recorded his first career RBI with a sacrifice fly to put Drew up 1-0 in the top of the first inning.
