No. 19 Moravian Sweeps Softball in Landmark Makeup

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (April 14, 2016) – The Drew University softball team (7-15, 1-5) dropped a doubleheader at No. 19 Moravian College in a Landmark Conference makeup on Thursday evening, falling 6-0 and 8-0 at Blue & Grey Field.
 
Top Performers: Junior pitcher Emma Agostini started Game 1, and only ran into one rough inning throughout her six frames of work in the circle. She gave up two earned runs (six total) all in the fourth inning, which accounted for all of the Greyhounds' (23-3, 7-1) offense. She allowed seven hits and two walks, while striking out two.
 
Key Factors: Moravian pitching allowed just four hits throughout the doubleheader.
 
Other Highlights: Freshman Sammie Booth picked up the lone hit of Game 1, while junior Meghan McGuire and sophomore Danielle Martinez and Lauren Mastropierro picked up hits in Game 2.
 
Up Next: The Rangers have just one day off before their next Landmark Conference road trip. Drew travels to The Catholic University of America on Saturday, April 16 for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.
