MADISON, N.J. (April 2, 2016) – The Drew University men's and women's tennis teams each fell to Elizabethtown College in Landmark Conference dual matches at home on Saturday, with the men getting edged 5-4 and the women falling 8-1.
 
Men's Tennis Top Performers: Senior 
Adam Clark won both of his contests at the highest level, defeating his No. 1 singles opponent in a tight match, 7-6 (9-7), 7-5, for his 30
th career singles victory and teaming with freshman 
Will Morrison at first doubles for an 8-4 win. Morrison also won his singles match at the No. 2 position in convincing fashion (6-2, 6-1), while freshman 
Chris Thompson was victorious at fifth singles, 6-4, 6-4.
 
Where They Stand: The Rangers (3-5) dropped their 2016 Landmark opener to the Blue Jays, who improve to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in league play. Morrison takes over the team lead in singles win this spring with six, followed by Clark's five.
 
Women's Tennis Top Performers: Sophomore 
Kathryn Swenor picked up Drew's lone win at sixth singles, 6-4, 6-3. Junior 
Megan Jarvis lost a close battle at fifth singles to the 15
th regionally ranked Blue Jays, falling in a third-set superbreaker 10-8.
 
Where They Stand: The Rangers (3-4) drop their Landmark record to 0-2, while Elizabethtown improves to 1-0 and 4-3 overall.
 
Next Up: The men and women split up on Wednesday, April 6 with the men traveling to Moravian College for a Landmark Conference dual match at 4:00 p.m., while the women stay home to host Rutgers-Newark at 4:30 p.m.
