MADISON, N.J. (April 20, 2016) – The Madison Avenue Challenge trophy changed hands in 2016 with the Drew University baseball team (15-18) dropping an 8-3 result against FDU-Florham at Dodge Field on Wednesday evening in a game sponsored by Madison Little League Baseball. The Rangers won the inaugural Challenge, 4-2, last spring.

Top Performers: Junior catcher
Mike Miraglia was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI, senior first baseman
Bobby Miskura picked up an RBI and freshman shortstop
Zach Lipshitz batted 1-for-2 off the bench with a run scored.

Turning Point: The Devils (10-17-1) took advantage of the short porch in right field at the home of Madison Little League. FDU-Florham scored its first five runs on homers over the right field fence.

Dan Pfefferkorn each picked up a hit, while freshman
Zach Luke pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief with three strikeouts.
DJ Pfefferkorn made his collegiate debut on the mound, tossing a scoreless eighth inning.
