SCRANTON, Pa. (April 23, 2016) – The Drew University men's and women's tennis teams fell in Landmark Conference action at The University of Scranton on Saturday. The men dropped a 7-2 result, while the women fell 9-0 to the Royals.

Top Performers: The men were led by freshman
Vineet Vemulapally with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles and senior
Adam Clark with his 6-3, 6-4 victory at second singles. On the women's side, junior
Jessica Cheng took her No. 3 singles opponent to the edge in a 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (15-13) marathon setback.

Other Highlights: Freshman
Chris Thompson was locked in a three-setter at No. 4 singles, winning the second set 6-4 after dropping the opener 6-2. Thompson fell in the superbreaker, 10-3. Vemulapally and freshman
Will Morrison were edged at first doubles, 8-6.
