MADISON, N.J. (April 28, 2016) – The Drew University men's tennis team's lone member of the Class of 2016,
Adam Clark, celebrated his Senior Day with an unblemished singles performance and a doubles win in the Rangers' 5-4 victory over Arcadia University (9-10) on Thursday.
Top Performers: Clark didn't lose a single game in his 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Arcadia's No. 2 singles player. This came after he teamed with freshman
Chris Morville at second doubles for a clutch 8-6 win, helping the Rangers (7-11) take a 2-1 lead after doubles action.
With Drew up 4-2 during singles play, freshman
Vineet Vemulapally clinched the dual match with a 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 1 flight. He also combined with freshman
Will Morrison for the 8-5 triumph at the top doubles spot. Morrison joined his doubles partner and Clark as the three Rangers to win on both ends with a straight set win (6-1, 7-5) at third singles.
Senior Salute: Clark's singles victory on Thursday was the 36
th of his career as a Ranger. He is 11-10 this season to lead Drew in singles wins and is currently on a five-match winning streak heading into the final dual of the season on Saturday.
