MADISON, N.J. (Jan. 7, 2017) – The Drew University women's basketball team shot 51 percent from the field, 54 percent from three-point range and held a 37-26 rebounding advantage in a complete 65-50 win over Goucher College in Landmark Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

By the Numbers: The Rangers win their first league game of the year (1-1) and improve to 5-7 overall, while the Gophers fall to 4-8 and 0-2. Drew has now won two straight contests to begin 2017.

Top Performers
• Senior forward
Ryan Jackson used staggering accuracy for her team-high 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting. She added four rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal to fill out a loaded stat line.
• Senior guard
Hannah Miller netted 15 points despite a consistent face guard, on the strength of 3-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc, and senior forward
Sam Lane fell one rebound shy of a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.
• Junior center
Ally Raulf led the team in rebounding with 11, while junior point guard
Michaela Keegan put together another complete game with nine points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. It was her third straight game with at least five assists.

Turning Point: Drew took the lead for good at a comfortable point midway through the second quarter. With the score tied at 18-18, crisp and unselfish passing led to an easy lay-in for Jackson. The Rangers then followed two Goucher misses with three-pointers from Lane and Miller to take a 26-18 lead following the 8-0 run.

• Goucher junior Briana Bull, the league's second leading scorer and top 20 scorer in the nation, finished with a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds. Her three-pointer at the halftime buzzer helped Goucher cut the Drew lead to 28-23.
• Drew led by an average of five points for most of the third period before senior guard
Courtney Trzasko nailed a triple with 3:16 to go in the quarter for the 42-34 lead. A Raulf bucket preceded that shot as part of a 7-2 run.
• Miller's jumper with 1:50 to play in the third started a 7-0 stint for Drew to end the period up 51-38. Keegan added a free throw and an aggressive driving layup with one second left during that run, setting the tone for the remainder of the game.
• Senior guard
Kati Yext drained a trey midway through the final period to put the hosts up 60-44.

• Drew continues to play excellent team basketball with 18 assists against Goucher, giving them 38 over the last two games on a total of 59 field goals (64 percent).
• The Rangers took 13 three-point attempts, the second lowest total of the season, but were more efficient than any game this year with a 7-of-13 mark. Goucher was also efficient, but took far less chances at 2-of-4.
• Drew won points in the paint (26-20), while Goucher held slim advantages in second chance points (8-7), fast break points (8-4) and bench points (8-6).
