Rangers Fall at Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -  The Drew University field hockey team traveled to Juniata for a Landmark Conference matchup on Saturday.  The Rangers (0-10, 0-3 Landmark) were unable to come away with a win, though, as the Eagles (7-4, 2-1 Landmark) posted an 8-0 victory at Knox Stadium.

Juniata's Katie Alexander scored the first of her four goals in the fifth minute, and Grace Alexander recorded her first goal of the night three minutes later.  The Eagles extended their advantage to 5-0 at halftime.  Juniata added another less than a minute into the second half before Katie Alexander found the back of the net two more times to close out the 8-0 win.

Joie Slossar (Woodbury, Conn.) (0-2) recorded a pair of saves and Kate Todero (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) made a defensive save.  Three different goalkeepers saw action for the Eagles, with starter Kylie Edwards (7-3) earning the win.  Katie and Grace Alexander tallied six of Juniata's seven goals, while their sister, Sarah, had an assist.  Mina Witt was the Eagles' other goal scorer.

Drew wraps up its three-game Pennsylvania road trip with a 7 p.m. visit to first-place Scranton (12-0, 3-0 Landmark) on Wednesday night.
