Miller Becomes 4th Highest Scorer in Setback at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Feb. 15, 2017) — The Drew University women's basketball team has been eliminated from Landmark Conference playoff contention with a loss to Moravian College, 70-61, in the final road trip of the season.
 
By the Numbers
The Rangers drop to 9-15 on the year with a 5-8 conference record. The Greyhounds improve to 19-5 on the year with a stellar 11-2 Landmark record.
 
Top Performers
Hannah Miller collected 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field with a 3-of-9 mark from beyond the arc.
• Sophomore guard Hailey Stine scored a career-high 14 points for the Rangers. Stine matched her career-high in the first half with 10 points.
• Senior forward Sam Lane had 13 points and swiped three steals.
 
Highlights
• A back-and-forth first quarter had three tie scores and five lead changes. Stine's layup gave Drew a 13-12 lead with 45 seconds left in the period before Moravian sank two free throws to take the lead into the second
• A 7-0 run bookended by Lane layups around a Stine three-pointer tied the game at 23-23 with 6:58 left in the second. Drew didn't trail by more than two until a 5-0 Moravian run to close the half with the Greyhounds up 34-27.
• Moravian did take a double-digit lead in the third, but back-to-back baskets by Miller and Lane cut the lead to 49-45 after a 9-3 Drew run.
• Miller's outing today has moved her to fourth all-time on Drew's career points list. Throughout her four years in The Forest, Miller has averaged 14.6 points per game and is now the fourth highest scorer at Drew with 1,389 points.

• The Greyhounds turned the ball over 30 times to Drew's 12, as the Rangers tallied 15 steals.
