GALLOWAY, N.J. (March 18, 2017) – Stockton University scored the final four goals of the game over the last 15 minutes to down the Drew University women's lacrosse team, 10-6, on a late-winter afternoon.
By the Numbers: Drew's five-game winning streak is disrupted with the setback at Stockton, which drops its overall record to 5-2. The Ospreys, meanwhile, extend their winning streak to four straight, improve to 4-1 on the year and remain undefeated at home (4-0).
Top Performers
• Senior midfielder
Morgan Mason extends her trend of multi-goal games with two goals and two assists at Stockton. She has now scored at least two goals in all six of her games played in 2017. Mason added a groundball and two caused turnovers on Saturday.
• Senior attacker
Theresa Shafron also stretches a scoring streak to six straight games with a goal in the first half that put Drew up 2-1.
• Junior attacker
Sage Johnson is the third Ranger to tack on to a scoring streak, making it six straight with a pair of goals against the Ospreys.
The Difference: In a game that saw five tie scores, with Drew scoring three game-tying goals and Stockton getting two, the Ospreys went on a 4-0 run to end the game over the final 15 minutes. Drew tied the game at 6-6 on back-to-back Johnson goals within a three-minute span before surrendering four straight.
Highlights
• Mason scored the first goal of the game on an unassisted blast just 32 seconds into the game following freshman
Jenna Morelli winning the opening draw control.
• Mason was involved in Drew's first three goals, assisting on Shafron's to make it 2-1 Drew, then scoring her second of the game to tie the game at 3-3 with 5:13 to play in the first half.
• Junior midfielder
Nicole Kinney netted her 14
th tally of the season to start the Rangers' scoring 8:30 into the second half and once again knot the game up at 4-4.
• Stockton responded within a minute to retake the lead and eventually go up 6-4 on a women-up goal with 20:04 to play.

• Three of the final four Stockton goals were on free position shots as the Ospreys finished 7-of-11 from the 8-meter arch.
• Twelve of Drew's 18 shots were on goal, but Stockton slightly outshot the Rangers overall, 23-18.
• The Rangers edged Stockton 9-8 in draw controls, but lost the groundball battle 18-11.
• Stockton played disciplined defense in Drew's critical scoring area, allowing just four free position shots and one goal in those attempts.
