Top Performers
• Miraglia launched his second home run of the season with two outs in the bottom of the first inning to set the tone on Sunday. The catcher finished 2-for-3 against Catholic pitching with a walk, two runs and two RBIs, while also throwing out a stolen base attempt from behind the plate.
• Grossane continues to produce from the middle of Drew's lineup, smacking his first collegiate home run in the fifth inning to put the Rangers back ahead 2-1. With a 1-for-3 day at the plate with a walk, a run and two RBIs, he has now hit in four straight games and recorded four RBIs over that span.
• Junior relief pitcher
Paul Roth improved to 3-0 on the season by earning the win in 2.1 innings of hitless work. He sat down seven straight Cardinals amid his team taking the lead in the sixth inning. Roth walked one and hit a batter with two strikeouts in his winning performance.
• Freshman starting pitcher
Jeff Serin put the Rangers in great position to win during his 5.2 innings. The rookie allowed three hits and four walks, two runs and struck out two before exiting the game in a 2-2 tie.

Highlights
• Catholic tied the game for the second time in the top of the sixth, but Drew quickly answered by taking the lead back for good in the bottom half of that frame. Senior left fielder
Mike DiDonato's hit, an intential walk to Broyles and an infield single by senior
Tommy Broyles loaded the bases for Grossane, who drew an RBI base on balls to give Drew the 3-2 lead. The bases remained juiced for junior second baseman
Isaiah Mateo, who earned a painful RBI by being hit by a pitch for the 4-2 advantage.
• The Rangers tacked onto the lead in the seventh and eighth on an RBI fielder's choice by Miraglia – and the ensuing error to score a second run on the play – followed by sophomore shortstop
Zach Lipshitz's RBI single to push the lead to 7-2 in the eighth.
• Broyles moved from first base to the pitcher's mound in the ninth with two on and no outs, allowing an inherited runner to score on a sacrifice fly before shutting the door on the 7-3 win. Broyles has not allowed an earned run now through his first 12.1 innings of the season.

Up Next: The Rangers continue their non-conference schedule on Tuesday, March 28 at 3:30 p.m. when Rutgers-Newark visits Doc Young Field.
