MADISON, N.J. (March 28, 2017) – The Drew University Athletic Department has unveiled a redesigned and refurbished hardwood court inside Baldwin Gymnasium at the Simon Forum & Athletic Center.
Â
The Rangers' men's and women's basketball teams tasked Mathusek Sport Flooring Incorporated with the project, which was completed over the course of one month. The court was reopened to the Drew teams on Monday, March 27.
Â
"We are proud and thrilled to reopen the Home of Drew Basketball with a new look and feel," said Director of Athletics
Jason Fein. "Everyone at Mathusek has been professional, efficient and creative in helping our department provide the best playing surface possible for our programs."
Â
The Baldwin Gym hardwood was buffed and cleaned before the new design of colors, graphics and logos were laid down. The court was then reinforced with six coats of MFMA approved BonaSport 350 polyurethane.
Â
Seating 800 fans, Baldwin Gymnasium has been the host of the Rose City Classic, the Landmark Conference Championships and the ECAC Championships.
