MADISON, N.J. (April 5, 2017) – The Drew University men's tennis team earned its eighth straight win on Wednesday, downing Ramapo College 6-3 at the Drew Tennis Complex.

 The Rangers (13-1) took a 2-1 lead following doubles play with a 9-7 win by junior
Salikh Gilmutdinov and sophomore
Will Morrison at No. 1 doubles, along with an 8-0 victory by sophomore
Vineet Vemulapally and freshman
Geoffrey Diehl at the No. 2 spot.

Gilmutdinov, Morrison and Diehl continued the momentum into singles play. Gilmutdinov lost the first set at No. 1 singles – his first lost set since February 19 – before rebounding soundly for a 6-0, 1-0 (10-6) finish in three sets. Morrison won 6-3, 6-3 at the third position, and Diehl was perfect 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.
