MADISON, N.J. – Sky Harris (Edison, N.J.) scored 13 points during a three-minute span in the second half to turn a close game into a comfortable victory for the Drew University men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon.  He finished with a career-high 19, as the Rangers (14-5, 7-1 Landmark) maintained their hold on first place in the Landmark Conference with a 75-53 victory over Goucher (0-18, 0-8 Landmark) at Baldwin Gymnasium.

Harris, who also recorded five rebounds and two blocks, went 8-for-12 from the field to lead four Rangers in double figures.  Riley Collins (Lacey, N.J.) tallied 15 points, while Nate Aldrich (Franklinville, N.J.) had 12 points and 11 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.  Yonathan Napoleon (Los Angeles, Calif.) contributed 12 points and nine boards, as Drew outrebounded Goucher 43-36.  Dan Roibal (Middletown, N.J.) distributed four assists for the Rangers, who shot 46 percent (29-of-63) from the floor as a team.  Drew was 8-for-26 (30.8 percent) from long range and 9-for-12 (75 percent) at the free throw line.

Goucher jumped out to an early 13-7 lead before the Rangers rallied for eight straight points to go up 15-13.  After the Gophers tied it at 17-17, a Malachi Walker (Fords, N.J.) layup started a 15-0 run that gave Drew a 32-17 advantage with 5:16 left in the first half.  Goucher responded with a seven-point spurt, though, to get back within eight, 32-24, at the 3:08 mark.  The Rangers' cushion was nine points, 36-27, at halftime.

After Goucher trimmed the margin to six, 39-33, Harris started his scoring string with an offensive rebound and tip-in.  He accounted for 13 points, including nine in a row, during a 14-2 run that extended the Rangers' lead to 55-35, with 9:41 remaining.  The Gophers rallied back within 14 points at 59-45 before a Napoleon trey started an 11-0 spurt that gave Drew its largest cushion of the game, 70-45, with 4:06 left.  The final score was 75-53, as the Rangers earned their seventh straight home win and improved to 12-2 since Dec. 2.

For Goucher, Jacob Smith tallied 14 points to go along with seven rebounds and three assists.  Elliott Wiley finished with 12 points, eight boards and three steals, while Gabe Ceribelli registered 10 points, six rebounds and three steals.  The Gophers shot 32.8 percent (21-of-64) from the field, 19 percent (4-of-21) from three-point land, and 77.8 percent (7-of-9) at the charity stripe.

Drew hits the road for each of its next two contests, starting with a 7 p.m. matchup at Elizabethtown (4-14, 1-7 Landmark) on Wednesday.  The Rangers notched an 84-54 victory over the Blue Jays at Baldwin Gymnasium on Jan. 17.
