Field Hockey Slips to Juniata on Senior Day

MADISON, N.J. - Juniata College scored three goals in the opening half and the Eagles topped Drew University 4-0 in a Landmark Conference (LC) field hockey game at Ranger Stadium on Saturday. Despite the score, the Rangers took just three fewer shots (15-12) than the visitors.

How it Happened: The Eagles (7-7, 3-3 LC) received four goals from four different players, including the game's opening tally seven and a half minutes into the contest. Juniata also struck with 23:03 and 6:23 on the clock to assume their halftime advantage. The Rangers outshot the Eagles 7-6 in the second half but were unable to dent goalie Kylie Edwards, who made six of her seven stops in the period.

Stats Sheet: The Rangers tied their season-high in shots and finished with a 9-3 advantage in penalty corners, coming up one corner shy of another season-best. Senior Ryann Callaghan made seven saves for the Blue and Green.

Senior Day: Drew recognized its four seniors - Callaghan, Josephine Emanuelli, Mackenzie Hascup, and Kate Todero - in a ceremony prior to the start of the game. Emanuelli made her season debut after being sidelined with an injury.

Up Next: The Rangers (1-14, 0-6 LC) take on Ramapo College in a non-conference tilt on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
