MADISON, N.J. –
Five different players recorded hat tricks, as the Drew University women's lacrosse team had its highest scoring output in nearly two years on Wednesday afternoon.  Drew (4-2) scored 20 goals for the first time since April 12, 2016 and extended its winning streak to three games with a 20-9 triumph over Manhattanville (1-2) at Ranger Stadium.

The Rangers started the scoring less than 90 seconds into the game and didn't go more than three minutes without a goal until it was 12-1 with 13:00 remaining in the first half.  Manhattanville notched the final three goals of the period to cut Drew's lead to 12-4 at intermission, but the Rangers quickly brought the margin back to 10 when Lauren Cassella (Edison, N.J.) and Allie DiDario (Whitehouse Station, N.J.) found the back of the net early in the second half.

Drew extended its advantage to a game-high 12 goals when Jenna Morelli's (Monroe Township, N.J.) tally made it 18-6 with 10:34 left.  The Rangers got to 20 on DiDario's fourth goal of the game with 3:26 remaining before the Valiants' Jenna Nance closed out the scoring in a 20-9 Drew victory.

Cassella notched a team-best five goals, and she added two assists.  DiDario, meanwhile, collected eight points on four goals and four assists to go along with 11 draw controls and three caused turnovers.  Mia Campanale (Branchburg, N.J.) also had four goals, while Charly Nolting (Craik, Sask.) registered three goals and an assist.  Morelli finished with three goals, eight ground balls and five draw controls, and Sage Johnson (Timonium, Md.) handed out three assists while also scoring the Rangers' first goal.  In net, Katiana Michalski (Eastchester, N.Y.) (4-2) made seven saves before giving way to Charlotte Grimm (Bernardsville, N.J.), who stopped three Manhattanville shots.

For the Valiants, Carly Weiss led the way with five goals and six ground balls.  Christina Leva scored three times, while Nance contributed three assists and eight draw controls.  Alex Breen (0-2) recorded three saves.

After four straight games away from home, Wednesday's contest marked the start of a span where Drew plays four out of five at Ranger Stadium.  The Rangers host Stockton (3-1) on Saturday at 4 p.m.
