MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University men's tennis team completed a busy weekend with an impressive performance on Sunday, sweeping Arcadia University in a pair of non-conference matches at the Drew Tennis Complex.
The Rangers defeated the Knights 8-1 and 6-3 to finish 3-1 for the weekend, with their only setback coming to Division I Rider University.
Leading the way for Drew on Sunday were senior
Will Morrison and sophomore
Bryce Kennedy, each of whom went 2-0 versus the Knights. Kennedy earned one singles victory apiece at the first and second slots while Kennedy split his wins at No. 3 and No. 4. In addition, Kennedy added a victory at No. 1 doubles, teaming up with freshman Billy McDonald.
Five additional Rangers earned singles victories on Sunday: freshman
Dan Blumenthal at No. 2, junior
Lloyd Goldstein at No. 4, freshman Jeremy Gottlieb at No. 5, junior
Karel Raska at No. 5, and freshman
Bret Schuler at No. 6.
Also capturing doubles wins were McDonald and Raska at No. 2, Gottlieb and junior
Bryce Weizer at No. 3, and Gottlieb and Schuler at No. 3.
Drew closes out the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday at the Ramapo Invitational.
