HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The Rangers broke open the game with a 17-2 run in the first half and cruised to a 72-49 victory at Centenary University in non-conference women's basketball action Tuesday evening.
Twelve different players reached the scoring column for Drew, which improved to 4-1 for the first time since 2014-15. The Cyclones dropped to 1-2.

Joey Meyers led the way with 12 points apiece for the Rangers. Ramos also registered four assists and four steals. Junior center

Gwen Alberici notched eight points. Sophomore forward
Cecelia Kracht added five rebounds and a pair of blocked shots.
It was a 9-9 game midway through the first quarter before the Rangers embarked on their decisive run. They ended the period on a 14-2 surge, and Ramos capped the outburst with a 3-pointer 1:25 into the second quarter to make it 26-11. Six different Rangers scored during the spurt.Â
Drew would lead by as much as 19 during the half and carried a 40-22 lead into the locker room.
The Rangers yielded just three field goals in the third quarter, when they outscored Centenary 13-7. They would lead by as much as 29 midway through the fourth quarter.
Drew will now enter a two-week layoff before returning to action on Tuesday, Dec. 3, when it visits Pratt at 7 p.m. in another non-conference affair.
