MADISON, N.J. – Senior
Mia Campanale scored her 100th career point and the undefeated Drew University women's lacrosse team cruised to a 16-1 victory over Juniata College in its Landmark Conference (LC) opener Saturday afternoon in Ranger Stadium. Nine different Rangers scored as Drew (9-0, 1-0 LC) continued their best start since the 1997 squad opened 10-0.
Highlights
• The Rangers scored early and often, striking for seven tallies over the opening nine minutes. Six different players found the back of the net, with freshman
Hailey Simmons scoring twice.
• Drew piled on six more goals over the final 14 minutes of the half to open up a 13-0 lead at the intermission. Campanale reached her milestone with an assist, then scored two goals during the stretch. Junior
Allie DiDario tossed in two of her four goals over the same period.
• Simmons scored early in the second half before DiDario followed up with a man-down tally with 20:27 left.
• Neither side scored again until Campanale buried Drew's final goal with 5:17 left. The Eagles (5-4) broke up the shutout when they scored with 2:02 showing.

• DiDario finished with four goals and two assists to go with five draw controls and three caused turnovers.
• Campanale added three goals and two assists while Simmons contributed three goals.

Drew finished with decided advantages in shots (33-4), ground balls (19-9), and draw controls (12-7). The Rangers forced 20 turnovers and were a perfect 14-for-14 on clears.
