FT. MYERS, Fla. -Â The Drew University softball team battled hard in their second pair of games in Florida on Monday, but lost 6-0 to Clark University and 7-5 to Penn State Altoona.
Game One Highlights: After falling behind 4-0 after two innings, the Rangers (1-3) earned their first base runner in the third when
Jasmine Vera tripled with one out. Drew's next opportunity came in the fifth when
MaKayla Sosa stroked a one-out double.
Game Two Highlights: Drew scored its first run of the day when
Renata Primmer smacked an RBI-single to make it 1-1 in the second. After the Lions scored three runs,
Paxtan Perry drilled an RBI-double in the fourth to pull the Rangers within 4-2. Drew's biggest inning of the day came in the fourth, when it plated three runs - including a two-run double from Primmer - that made it a 5-5 game. However, Altoona pushed across a pair of go-ahead runs in the seventh.
