MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University men's tennis team was edged 5-4 by Ramapo College before earning a 7-2 victory over the College of Saint Elizabeth in a pair of non-conference matches on Monday during Senior Day at the Drew University Tennis Complex.
Drew's three seniors were recognized in a brief ceremony before the team's afternoon match against Ramapo, and all three promptly earned doubles wins to help the Rangers build a 2-1 lead. Junior

Will Morrison earned an 8-3 win at No. 1 while seniors
Chris Morville and
Vineet Vemulapally captured an 8-6 decision at No. 3.
The Roadrunners would rally, however, winning four of six singles contests to pick up the victory. Vemulapally earned his second win of the match with a tight 7-6 (8-6), 2-6, 10-7 triumph at No. 1 while junior
Bryce Weizer prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.
Versus Saint Elizabeth during the evening match, Drew raced to a 3-0 lead after sweeping the three doubles matches. Morville and Vemulapally won again, this time at No. 1, while freshmen
Jeremy Gottlieb and
Bret Schuler won by the same score at No. 2. Freshmen
Ben Dunlap and
Brett Philip notched an 8-4 victory at No. 3.
Gottlieb, Schuler, and Philip also landed singles victories to come away as double-winners. Gottlieb survived a marathon match at No. 2, winning 6-2, 2-6, 16-14, while freshman
Billy MacDonald won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3. Schuler also did not lose a game in a victory at No. 4 while Philip posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5.
The Rangers wrap up their Landmark Conference schedule on Saturday, when they visit Moravian College at 1 p.m.
