Men’s Lacrosse Earns Dramatic Victory at Goucher in Season Finale

TOWSON, Md. – Senior Thomas Ensmenger closed out his collegiate career in style, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to hand the Drew University men's lacrosse team a thrilling 14-13 Landmark Conference (LC) victory at Goucher College on Saturday in the team's season finale. The Gophers took the lead with 13 seconds left, only to see the Rangers win the ensuing face-off and force OT when junior Kevin Goettlich scored four seconds later.

• Drew (2-14, 1-5 LC) started the game hot, opening up a 5-0 lead nine minutes into the contest. Five different Rangers scored during the run.
• Goucher (5-10, 0-6 LC) rallied with a 6-1 run to pull even at 6-6 with 1:53 left in the opening half.

• Sophomore Miles Savage then came up big at the X, winning the face-off and dishing the ball off to O'Connor, who found Goettlich for the game-tying goal.
• Savage also won the opening face-off in overtime, and after the Rangers missed the cage on a pair of shots, Ensmenger buried the golden goal, finishing off a dish from O'Connor as the Rangers captured their first Landmark Conference victory of the season.
