SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Junior guard
Julia Ramos scored a game-high 29 points, but host Susquehanna rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to hand the Rangers a 75-71 setback in Landmark Conference (LC) women's basketball action Wednesday evening.
Ramos posted the second-highest scoring output of her career, shooting 11-for-24 and 6-for-13 from 3-point range. Her career-high also came versus Susquehanna, as she scored 33 in a 67-50 Ranger victory last season.

Joey Meyers added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Rangers (10-4, 1-2 LC) while sophomore forward
Sekya Campbell contributed 14 points. Sophomore forward
Cecelia Kracht notched five blocked shots for the visitors.
Amalia Esposito posted 25 points and 10 rebounds off the bench to pace the River Hawks (11-3, 3-0 LC).
Drew opened the game on a 10-0 run over the opening three and a half minutes. The Rangers led by as much as 11 in the opening period and held a 19-11 advantage heading into the second quarter.
Susquehanna began to chip away and came all the way back to take the lead (32-31) with 1:31 remaining in the first half. Ramos answered with a late 3-pointer and the Rangers led 34-33 at the break.
Drew came out of the locker room on fire, hitting the Hawks with another 10-0 run to open up a 44-33 lead with 7:37 on the clock. Ramos kicked off the spurt, scoring the first five points on a lay-up and 3-pointer.
The Rangers led by a dozen twice midway through the quarter, first on a Meyers triple with 5:05 left, then on a pair of Campbell free throws with 4:31 remaining. But Susquehanna answered with an 11-0 run and trailed just 54-50 after three quarters of play.
A 7-0 River Hawk run gave the hosts a 63-57 lead with 4:34 remaining, but the Rangers refused to go away. Ramos canned a trey with 3:16 left to make it a one-point game (65-64), and it was still a one-possession affair (69-66) after junior center
Erin Frederick hit a pair of free throws with 44 ticks showing. Drew twice pulled to within two - first on Ramos' final 3-pointer of the night with 24 seconds left, then on a fast-break lay-in from Campbell seven seconds later. But Susquehanna dropped in a fast-break lay-up after Ramos' shot before Erin McQuillen hit two free throws with six seconds remaining to set the final score.
The Rangers continue their season on Saturday, when they visit Goucher in a Landmark Conference match-up starting at 4 p.m.
