MADISON, N.J. - Sophomore
Olyvia Jackson made a season-high 10 saves, but the Drew University field hockey lost by a 4-0 count to Stevens Institute of Technology in non-conference action on Monday in Ranger Stadium.
The Ducks (7-2) scored just over three minutes into the contest off a deflected shot, then struck again with just over a minute left in the opening quarter. Stevens tacked on another goal in the second quarter to assume a 3-0 halftime lead.
After making four saves in the first half, Jackson turned aside all three Stevens shots on goal in the third quarter, when the Rangers kept the Ducks off the scoreboard. The visitors set the final score when Aryana Muscara scored her third goal of the night early in the final period.
Drew jumps right back into action on Tuesday, when it visits Bryn Athyn at 7 p.m. in another non-conference affair.
