SCRANTON, Pa. - The Drew University men's tennis team won its fourth-straight match to open the season, capturing a 6-3 decision at the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference (LC) match-up on Wednesday.
The Rangers (4-0, 4-0 LC) led 2-1 after doubles play before capturing four of the six singles matches.

Geoffrey Diehl tied the school record for doubles wins (64), teaming up with junior
Bret Schuler for an 8-6 win at the No. 2 spot. The pair improved to 4-0 on the season.

The Royals (2-3, 2-3 LC) won at the top two singles flights, but Drew prevailed at 3-6, getting victories from freshman
Santo Carroccia at No. 3, junior
Jeremy Gottlieb at No. 4, senior
Bryce Kennedy at No. 5, and Polvere at No. 6. Gottlieb's victory pushed his season record to 4-0.
The Rangers continue their season on Saturday, when they host Goucher College at 1 p.m. in another Landmark Conference affair. The match will be played at Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, N.J.
