SCRANTON, Pa. - The Drew University men's lacrosse team saw its 2021 season come to a close on Saturday with a 21-1 loss at the University of Scranton in the quarterfinals of the Landmark Conference Championship.
Senior
Michael McGeeney finished with 21 saves over 50 minutes of action for the sixth-seeded Rangers.
Matthew McAree netted four goals and one assist to lead the third-seeded Royals, who move on to the Landmark semifinals to face second-seeded Elizabethtown.
Trailing 4-0 at the end of the first quarter, sophomore
Tommy Larmore scored a minute into the second period. However, Scranton shut out the Rangers the rest of the way, with starting goalie Shayne Fallon finishing with 10 saves.

Miles Savage won eight face-offs and picked up five grounds for Drew while junior
Paul Le Pera, junior
Jack Tynan, and sophomore
Craig Wilkie scooped three ground balls apiece.
