TOWSON, Md. - The defending Landmark Conference champion Drew University men's tennis team opened its 2021-22 season on Saturday at the Goucher Individual Tournament.

Numerous Rangers turned in strong performances while competing against tough competition. In singles play, junior Leo Ambrogio, sophomore Jack Polvere, and senior Bret Schuler all went 2-0 on the day while senior Billy MacDonald finished 1-0. Senior Jeremy Gottlieb and junior John Dickey each split a pair of matches.

Ambrogio and Polvere were also 2-0 in doubles play as each finished the day 4-0. Ambrgio teamed up with senior Dan Blumenthal in doubles while Polvere competed with sophomore Santo Carroccia. MacDonald and junior Lorenzo Fuga also captured a double victory, finishing 1-1.

The Rangers continue their fall schedule with their first dual match of the season on Sunday, Sept. 26 at Rutgers-Camden starting at 1 p.m.
