SCRANTON, Pa. - The Drew University women's lacrosse team trailed just 6-4 at halftime before the University of Scranton pulled way in the second half for a 15-5 Landmark Conference victory over the Rangers on Wednesday evening.
Senior
Meliha Emini posted three goals, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers to pace the Rangers (9-5, 2-3 LC). Junior
Anna Horne played the opening 53 minutes in goal and made eight saves for Drew.
The Royals (9-5, 4-1 LC) outscored the Rangers 3-0 in the first quarter before Drew rallied in the second period. Sophomore

Maggie Nealley scored six minutes apart to make it a 3-2 game before Emini struck with a pair of goals. Her second tally, scored with 1:10 on the clock, pulled Drew to within 5-4, but that's when the Royals embarked on an 11-0 run spanning three quarters. Emini scored the final goal of the game, setting the final score with 11 seconds left.
The Rangers return to Landmark Conference action on Saturday, when they visit Goucher College starting at 1 p.m.
