MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's basketball took on fourth-ranked University of Scranton on Wednesday evening in Baldwin Gym, and the Royals handed the Rangers an 87-47 setback in Landmark Conference play.

Amy Rachilla scored 12 points while sophomore guard
Maddy Morgan posted 10 points for the Rangers (2-4, 1-2 LC). Senior forward
Gracie Hezel pitched in with seven rebounds and four assists.
Kaci Kranson scored 33 points on 13-of-19 shooting to lead the Royals (8-0, 3-0 LC).
Scranton never trailed after scoring the first six points of the game and led 21-10 at the end of the first quarter. It was still and 11-point game (30-19) following a layup from Morgan with 6:19 left in the opening half, but the Royals ran off a 10-2 run to open up a 19-point lead. Scranton led 47-28 at the intermission.
The visitors continued to pull away early in the second half, scoring eight unanswered points to open the stanza. Scranton outscored the Rangers 17-8 in the quarter and 23-11 in the final period.
Drew picks up its schedule on Saturday, when it takes on Lycoming College at 4 p.m. in another Landmark Conference tilt.
