JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Drew University baseball team dropped a non-conference decision at New Jersey City University on Thursday, as the Gothic Knights used two big innings to earn a 20-4 victory.

Senior
Billy Coleman finished 2-for-2 with a double for the Rangers (10-5) while senior
K.J. Hallgren, freshman
Thomas Zammitti, and junior
Anthony Diaz smacked one double apiece.

Drew took a 2-1 lead in the second on an RBI-single from sophomore
Dallas Lorenzetti and a run-scoring double from Diaz. However, NJCU (5-8) answered with seven in the bottom of the inning.

The Rangers cut the deficit to 9-4 after a two-run sixth which included a leadoff double from Hallgren an RBI infield single from sophomore
Ryan Jones. But the hosts broke it open with nine runs in the bottom half.

Freshman
Brandon Kobryn (0-2) started and tossed 1 2/3 innings for Drew. Five additional Rangers took the hill, with sophomore
Connor Ruscansky working the longest outing. He fired 3 1/3 innings as the team's second pitcher of the game, allowing just one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one.

The Rangers return to Landmark Conference action on Friday, when they open a three-game series at the University of Scranton with a single game starting at 4:30 p.m.
