MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's tennis team pushed its winning streak to seven with a 6-3 non-conference victory over Baruch College on Monday at the Drew University Tennis Complex.
The Rangers (10-3) snapped a 10-match winning streak by Baruch (11-2).
The Bearcats won two of the three doubles point to open the match with a 2-1 lead. Seniors
Dan Blumenthal and
Daryl Wong Li-Hom captured Drew's lone doubles victory, winning 8-4 at No. 3.
The Rangers bounced back in singles play, winning five of the six points. Singles competition was extremely competitive, as four of the six matches went to a third set.

Avi Perera,
Leo Ambrogio, and
Brut Schuler all held on to win in three sets after winning their opening set. Perera prevailed 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 at No. 1 while Ambrogio captured a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 decision at No. 3. Schuler was a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 winner at No. 4, and junior
Santo Carroccia won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5. Senior
John Dickey contributed a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6.
The Rangers are back in action on Wednesday, when they visit the University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference match starting at 4 p.m.
