MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over Baruch College in a non-conference match on Monday at the Drew University Tennis Complex.
In doubles, the Rangers (11-2) received 8-0 victories from sophomore
Mary Kalorin and freshman
Sofiya Lebedeva at Nos. 1-3, respectively, while sophomore
Courtney Bresler and senior Danielle DeRosso were 8-3 victors at No. 2.
Lebedeva also won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, as she handed Baruch's Ava Deguzman her first loss of the season and her career after starting 15-0 and 30-0.
Other singles winners were junior
Melina Christodoulou at No. 2 (6-0, 6-1), Kalorin at No. 3 (6-0, 6-0), Bloemendaal at No. 4 (7-5, 6-2), DelRosso at No. 5 (6-0, 6-1), and freshman
Natalia Zamora at No. 6 (6-0, 6-2).
The Rangers return to action on Friday, when they host Ursinus College at 3 p.m. in a non-conference match.
