MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team downed Ursinus College 7-2 in a non-conference match on Friday at the Drew University Tennis Complex.
The Rangers (12-2), who won their third match in a row, led 3-0 after sweeping the three doubles matches before capturing four of the six singles flights.
In doubles, sophomore
Mary Kalorin and freshman
Sofiya Lebedeva won 8-0 at No. 1 while senior
Sanne Bloemendaal and junior
Melina Christodoulou captured an 8-3 decision at No. 2. Sophomore
Courtney Bresler and senior
Danielle DelRosso earned an 8-2 victory at No. 3.
Posting singles wins were Lebedeva at No. 1 (6-2, 6-1), Christodoulou at No. 2 (6-3, 6-2), Kalorin at No. 3 (6-2, 6-3), and DelRosso at No. 5 (6-4, 6-4).
Drew continues its season on Saturday, when it hosts Landmark Conference foe Elizabethtown College at noon on Senior Day.
