MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's lacrosse team piled up 11 first-quarter goals en route to a big 19-4 Landmark Conference victory Saturday afternoon in Ranger Stadium.
With the win, the Rangers (8-7, 3-3 LC) now find themselves tied with Susquehanna for fourth place in the Landmark Conference standings heading into their final game of the season next Saturday versus Juniata. The top four teams in the conference qualify for the Landmark Conference Championship tournament.

Hailey Simmons enjoyed a big performance for the Rangers, scoring five goals to tie the second-highest scoring output of her career. She also handed out two assists while junior
Lizzy Barrett netted four goals for the second game in a row.
Junior
Emma DiPatri contributed three goals and two assists for Drew while freshman
Aubrey Welch posted three goals, an assist, and seven draw controls. Junior
Ella Champigny notched two goals and three assists.
The Rangers held Sam Deiaco, who entered the game with a Landmark Conference-leading 68 goals, to just one goal, which came on a free-position attempt. Junior
Mary Kate Davidson helped lead the defensive charge with six ground balls and three caused turnovers, senior
Emma Koerner posted five ground balls and two caused turnovers, and junior
Catherine DiPatri recorded four GBs and two CTs.
In goal for the Rangers, senior
Anna Horne started and allowed just one goal while making a pair of saves in the opening half. Sophomore
Arianna Mendez collected three saves while playing the final 30 minutes.
Drew Bridges scored a pair of goals while Alayna Trynosky made eight saves for Elizabethtown (5-10, 1-5 LC).
Drew wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as Barrett struck 56 seconds into the contest. The Blue Jays answered with 12:59 on the clock, but that's when the Rangers embarked on a 15-0 run that spanned the first three quarters. The Rangers rattled off 10 more goals in the first quarter, with Simmons scoring four times and netting three in less than a minute at one point. Davidson beat the horn to make it 11-1 after 15 minutes of play.
With a running clock in effect, the Rangers tacked on three more goals in the second quarter to assume a 14-1 halftime advantage. Drew piled up a 27-4 shot advantage in the opening half.
The Rangers scored two more goals to open the second half as their lead swelled to 15. The Blue Jays stopped the bleeding with Deiaco's goal to make it 16-2 at the end of the third quarter.
Drew tacked on three more goals in the final period to set the final score.
The Blue and Green conclude the regular season on Saturday when they host Juniata at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.
