WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Drew University women's tennis team captured its 2023-24 Landmark Conference opener with an 8-1 victory at Lycoming College on Thursday.
The two-time defending Landmark Conference champions swept the doubles matches to assume a 3-0 lead before winning at first through fifth singles.
Drew (1-1) earned its 19th straight victory over a Landmark Conference opponent and its 17th consecutive regular-season conference win with its triumph over the Warriors (0-3), who joined the conference this season.

Natalia Zamora, junior
Courtney Bresler, and freshman
Riley Roesel all earned two victories for the Rangers.
In doubles, Bresler and breezed to an 8-1 victory at No. 1 while sophomore
Jada Worthem and Zamora prevailed 8-3 at No. 2. Senior
Michelle Lombardi and Roesel completed the sweep with an 8-2 victory at No. 3.
Kalorin registered a flawless performance at first singles winning a 6-0, 6-0 verdict while Zamora won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Bresler was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 3, and freshman
Danielle Pettoni captured a 6-1, 6-4 decision at No. 4. Roesel added 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5.
The Rangers are back in action on Saturday, when they host the Drew Doubles Invitational.
