The Rangers held just a one-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but broke it open by outscoring the Gophers 54-26 over the middle two periods.

Goucher opened the game on a 9-3 run, but the Rangers answered with an 8-0 spurt late in the opening quarter to go up 16-12. A put-back from Pica gave the Rangers an 18-17 at the end of the stanza.

Drew led 32-30 late in the opening half before it opened up a gap with a 12-0 run. Four different players scored during the decisive stretch, with Aliotta netting five straight points in the middle of the surge, and Drew led 44-32 at the intermission.

The hosts continued to stay hot early in the third quarter, outscoring the Gophers 13-0 to start the period. Once again, four Rangers found the scoring column during a big scoring spree. Drew's lead swelled to as much as 30 and the Rangers led 72-43 after three quarters of play.

The Rangers enjoyed their largest lead of the day early in the final stanza when a layup from Struble made it 76-43. Goucher was unable to get within 27 the rest of the way.
