MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team competed in its first match of the spring on Saturday but came up on the short end of a 8-1 decision at the Drew Tennis Complex and Simon Forum.
The Rangers (1-2) received a victory from sophomore
Natalia Zamora at No. 4 singles, as she prevailed by a 6-3, 2-6, 10-5 count.
Freshman
Riley Roesel also forced a tiebreaker at No. 6 but lost 6-2, 4-6, 10-7. Meanwhile, junior
Mary Kalorin battled to a close 7-5, 7-5 loss at No. 2 singles.
Drew continues its season on Friday, Feb. 23, when it hosts Washington College at 4 p.m.
