Men’s Tennis Faces Division II St. Thomas Aquinas

MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's tennis team continued its tough non-conference schedule on Tuesday and lost by a 7-0 count to Division II St. Thomas Aquinas in the Simon Forum.

The Spartans (4-2) opened the match by sweeping the doubles point (Division II rules) after winning at all three flights. In the closest doubles match, seniors Santo Carroccia and Daryl Wong Li-Hom lost 6-4 at the No. 2 position while freshman Daniel Arcari and sophomore Jesse Faro played to a 6-3 decision at No. 1.

The visitors closed out the match by capturing all six singles matches. Winning five games apiece were Faro at No. 1 (6-2, 6-3) and freshman Ian Michel at No. 6 (6-3, 6-2).

The Rangers (4-4) are now off until March 23, when they resume Landmark Conference play  with a home match versus Susquehanna University.
